My grandfather got married to a new wife, 5 months after my grandmothers death(married 47 yrs). Her past two husbands have died of brain tumors. Now my grandfather’s behavior is becoming strange. The family is sure he has not had a stroke. He changed his doctor of 25 yrs to her doctor when they were married. My family would like to get a toxicology test done on my grandfather, but are unsure how to approach him without it sounding like an attack on his new wife. Any suggestions-please keep them legal!

I am seeing many posts indicating that if a young woman carries an unplanned pregnancy to term, either she or the child’s grandparents will be "saddled" with the responsibility of this baby for life.
However, many people are eager to adopt babies and have great difficulty doing so.
A pregnant woman should be supported in her decision if she wishes to carry her child to term, whether she keeps the baby or entrusts the baby to adoption.
Is a late-term termination of pregnancy preferable to the entrusting of one’s child to adoption outside of the family?

How can I encourage my family to make healthier choices?
September 2nd, 2010I have recently noticed that my family doesn’t do a very good job taking care of their bodies. My sister and mother love diet pepsi, they never drink even 2 cups of water a day. My dad likes wine, but he is never drunk. They do exercise, and they are in good physical shape. We also rarely have veggies includes in our meals, but I manage to eat carrots for snacks.
How can I encourage my family to be healthier? Just to drink more water and eat healthier?
I can’t "take away" anything! I don’t buy groceries, I don’t lead the family, I am the youngest in the family, I am just concerned for them!

How do I convince my family that not all pit bulls are vicious?

He’s anything but vicious but my family won’t visit because of him, and there is no way in hell that I am going to get rid of my dog just because of my family. Personally I believe that if some one is afraid of Pit Bulls before they get to actually know them, they are pussys.

How do you have a family member placed in a 72 hour psych evaluation?
August 29th, 2010My brother has attempted 2 suicides in the last 5 years, but is a very successful businessman and has hidden things well. He is now in the middle of a nasty divorce and is doing things to his family (mentally) that are very wrong. I am worried about his stability and what he might do to himself, his kids, his wife or his family. I think getting evaluated would be a first step, but he will never do so willingly. What can I do? I love my brother, but right now, he is not acting like a rational human being.

My family wants to help him, but we don’t know how to approach the subject. I’ve witnessed him having imaginery phone conversations, paranoia, and saying weird things that just aren’t true. He has also become very jealous of his wife and he has sudden outbursts of anger.

Family Property ?: Can lot be offered to different parties with different conditions?
August 26th, 2010A piece of property in our family has been offered up to a buyer outside the family at an unknown price. The family has been told they can offer on the property as well, but only if they also buy the owner out of their share of a different property as well. Is this legal and can anyone point me to any references?
